'Not able to open downloaded file' error when downloading an Adobe application
I currently use LIVE 7 Lite and have gone to the check for updates button and sucessfully downloaded LIVE 8 Lite which I was told I was entitled to. The problem is I can't open the zip file. I,ve tried WinZip, WinWar and about 3 or 4 other free winzip type programs all of which are unable to extract the setup file. I have downloaded the file 5. Find the downloaded Ableton Live Lite 10 file in your 'Downloads' folder. Once the zip file has downloaded, double-click on it to run the installer which is the Setup Icon, (or a different folder if you specified a download location) and then double-click it to run it. After installation is complete, open Ableton Live Lite 10.

Fix permissions on the folder that contains the downloaded files
- Using Finder, navigate to the folder that contains your downloaded file. If you need help locating the folder, see Find downloaded files.
- Click the lock icon in the lower-right corner. Enter your administrator user name and password when prompted, and click OK.
- Select your user in the Name column and choose Read & Write in the Privilege column.
- Click the Gear icon and choose Apply To Enclosed Items.
- Double-click the .dmg file that you downloaded from Adobe.com to start the installation.

- Choose Organize > Folder And Search Options, and click the View tab.

- Press F8 before Windows starts (when you see a message such as For Advanced Startup Options).
- Select Safe Mode from the list of startup options.
- If Safe Mode doesn't appear in each corner of the desktop, then repeat steps a-b.
- When Safe Mode appears in each corner of the desktop, then log in as administrator of the local machine.
Note: If a dialog box indicates that Windows is running in Safe Mode, click OK.
- In the View tab, scroll to the bottom of the Advanced Settings and deselect Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended). Click OK.

Move the downloaded files to a folder for which you have sufficient privileges
- Navigate to the folder that contains your downloaded files. If you need help locating the folder, see Find downloaded files (cpsid_50655).
- Drag the files to a folder for which you have Read & Write (Mac OS) or Full Control (Windows) permissions.
- Double-click the .exe file (Windows) or .dmg file (Mac OS) that you downloaded to start the installation.
This error indicates that you do not have sufficient permissions for the folder to which you're downloading, so the installer cannot start. Ableton live lite download mac.

I am running Windows Vista sp2, 3GB RAM, Pentium D 3Ghz. Audio capture is the Line 6 POD Studio UX1.
